Class 06 Mrs H Williams 2023 - 2024
Miss Williams
A warm welcome to Class 6. Our class is full of bubbly Year 3 children who are keen to discover what we have in store with Mrs H Williams their teacher and her fantastic teaching assistant Mrs S. Williams.
We will be taking our first journey in Year 3 back in time for a local history study of Congleton's silk trade, how the River Dane was used and where it used to flow through our town. We are keen to take part on a geography field study to learn more about the River Dane and how the silk industry shaped the town.
We then venture into conservation and in particular bees. We look at how these tiny little insects are vital to not only plants but our own food. We will also add to our own year group bee garden and try and earn our very own green Blue Peter Badge.
In the final term we step back to the industrial revolution and discover how important it was to life today and how our learning goes in a full circle to discovering the importance of local canals and railways.
Please take the time to read our class newsletter to find out key information about our class and more about our exciting journey into Year 3.
