The Quinta Preschool

We are pleased to announce that from September 2019 The Quinta Primary School will be offering early years provision from 2.5 - 4 year olds in a preschool setting.

Structures and staffing


We provide ratios of staffing in line with the welfare requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage to ensure children have individual attention and to guarantee high quality care and education.


Our Early Years Unit is structured as follows:

  • Cubs(aged 2 to 3 years)

  • Bears ( Pre School aged 3 years to 4 years)

  • Reception (4 years to 5 years)

All rooms are run by a senior member of staff or a teacher, supported by an appropriate number of suitably qualified and experienced Nursery Practitioners and teaching assistants to maintain the ratios of 1:4 for Cubs and 1:8 for Bears 1:15 for Reception

What time are the sessions?

How much do sessions costs?

Morning £10 Lunch £4 Afternoon £10


Do we have to wear a uniform?

There is a uniform, the same as our reception class wear: Blue jumper, White polo, Grey shorts/trousers/skirt, summer dress - blue and white gingham, black shoes. However, this is optional


Can I use childcare vouchers?

Yes we accept from all of the  different childcare vouchers companies


Can I use my free childcare funded hours?

Yes everyone will be entitled to 15 hours free to claim at The Quinta Preschool or The Quinta Before/After school care, starting the term after their child's 3rd birthday.

Is there  minimum number of sessions?

No, however for Quinta Cubs 2-3 yr olds we recommend a minimum of 2 sessions to gain any real benefit and for Quinta Bears 3-4, we recommend a minimum of 4 sessions.
