Class 05 Miss Smith 2023 - 2024

Welcome to Class 5 and Year 3. Our Teacher is called Mrs Wootton with Mrs S Williams and Mrs Longmuir are our super Year 3 Teaching Assisstant.

We will be taking our first journey in Year 3 back in time to Congleton silk trade and looking at how the River Dane was used and where it used to flow through our town. We are keen to take part in a Geoegraphy field study to learn more about the River Dane and how the silk industry shaped our town.

Further along in the year we venture into conservation particulary bees. We look at how these tiny little insects are vital to not only plants but our very own food. We will also add to our own year group bee garden and try and earn our own green Blue Peter Badge.

In the final term we step back to the industrial revolution and discover how important it was to life today and how our learning goes in full circle to discovering the importance of local canals and railways.
