Girls Football Tournament After School - Wigan

Hi everyone

A few  updates for Friday. I have met with the Crewe representative today and he would like to be on the motorway by 8, therefore we now need to meet in school by 7:35. We will be leaving at 7:45. Matches start at 9:30. 

Unfortunately we are unable to take parents on the bus, but if you would like to come the support would be much appreciated. The address is Laithwaite Park, Wigan, WN5 0UY. There is a cafe on site for your use. The girls may get a chance to buy something in here but apparently it is a very busy day so please don’t rely on this.

The girls have been provided with their kits today. These MUST be worn with shin pads. The kits need to be brought back into school next Monday 4th March - as we need to return the Crewe kits to them; and the shorts are needed in school for a tournament on Tuesday. The matches will take place on 4G. It has been recommended that skins are worn to keep warm as the forecast isn’t great.

Please can all bring snacks, drinks and a packed lunch. 

If we are going to be home any later than normal school pick up time we will message on School Spider, otherwise it will be pick up as normal. Obviously, if you would like to take your daughter home straight from Wigan this is fine.
